Who share the same passion for photography and capturing the true characters of children as we do at Unscripted Portraits.
We are seeking a new photographer to join our team in the northeast. You need to be enthusiastic and patient with experience working with children of all ages. This role would suit a photographer who already has their own studio but would like some additional fun work “on the side”.
We photograph children of all ages, so we need someone who is not afraid of being a bit silly to help them feel comfortable and bring out their sparkle. You also need to be a problem solver and confident working independently as well as part of a small team and sometimes under a bit of pressure. We offer shoots indoors (studio backdrops provided) and outside. We shoot with natural light only. So we need a photographer who is versatile and creative to help deliver the best images in all environments.
MUST HAVES BEFORE YOU APPLY FOR THE ROLE
· Must have full UK driving license and access to own car/ van. Happy to travel to schools/settings all over the northeast.
· Professional standard Digital camera & 50mm lens
· Must clear an enhanced DBS Check organised through our head office.
· Flexibility for scheduling. Be flexible with working hours as early starts are to be expected. Most settings we cover have a start time between 8am- 9am arrival to destination.
· Positive can-do attitude. Experience working with children.
· Great communicator and ability to build rapport with children, parents and staff.
· Experience in Early Years / School Portraits.
· Be fit and active as the role does require physical work.
WE SUPPLY
· Backdrops and stands for indoor portraits.
· Full initial training and ongoing training and support.
· Schedules organised in as much advance as possible to aid you with any outside freelance work you have.
WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS
· Setting up mobile studio or outdoor set up.
· Photograph all children at the setting.
· Back up images to drives supplied by Unscripted Portraits. All images are culled and edited in house.
HOURS AND PAY
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: £100.00-£160.00 per day.
In addition, commission is generated from the sale of photographs taken by you.
Due to the nature of our business our seasons peak between April – middle of June and then again from mid-September through to the end of November.
